work life
I am currently an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Portland District. I work in the Construction Management branch as a Project Engineer. I help with overseeing construction contracts at USACE hydroelectric dams around Oregon. My job is very hands on and I do anything from cost estimating to coordinating between our designers, contractors, project managers and our customers, the Dam Project itself. I will be on 72 week rotation schedule (ending 08/2010) through the many different departments within the Corps.
